My Mobile Data Is On But Not Working on iphone

If you’re like me, you’ve probably had the frustrating experience of your mobile data not working on your iPhone, even though it says it’s on. Here’s a quick fix that should get things working again.

 

Check your mobile data connection

If you’re able to make a call, your phone has signal. that means theres something wrong with your mobile data connection.

There are a few things you can do to try and fix it:

– First, try turning mobile data off and on again in Settings.
– If that doesn’t work, try resetting your network settings. This will reset all your mobile data settings, including your APN information.
– If you’re still having trouble, contact your carrier for help.

 

Check your mobile data settings

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options and make sure that cellular data is turned on. Then, go to Settings > Safari and make sure that Block Pop-ups is turned off.

If you’re still having trouble, contact your carrier to make sure that your account is active and has the correct settings.

 

Check for a carrier-specific issue

Check for a software update

Update your APN settings

If you’re trying to access mobile data, or sending MMS (picture messages), you need to make sure you have the right Access Point Name (APN) settings in your phone. The details will be different depending on who you’re with, but you can find what they should be right here:

If you don’t know, or can’t see your APN settings, contact your network provider and ask for the internet and MMS APN settings. They’ll text them to you.

 

Contact your carrier

If you have a mobile data plan, you can contact your carrier for help.

Carrier support may be able to help you turn on cellular data, or they may recommend that you upgrade your plan so that you can use cellular data.

You might need to use a different SIM card from your carrier in order to have cellular data service.

 

Get more help

If you’re still not connected, check for these common problems:
-Make sure that you have cellular data turned on for the app that you’re using. To turn cellular data on or off, go to Settings > Cellular.
-Make sure that you have an active data plan. You might need to contact your carrier for help with this.
-If you have a VPN, try turning it off (go to Settings > VPN and slide VPN to the Off position).
-If you have another device with iOS 11 or later and personal hotspot on, make sure that it’s turned off. To turn it off, go back to Settings > Personal Hotspot and tap the switch. Then try connecting again.
