If you’re like me, you’re probably always wondering how much battery you have left on your iPhone. Well, with the new iOS 16 update, there’s an easy way to check your battery percentage! Here’s how:
Checking Your Battery Percentage on iOS 16
The battery percentage is the amount of battery power that is available to use as a percentage. The first thing you need to do is go to your Settings. Once you are in your Settings, you will see the Battery section. Click on that and you will be taken to a new page.
Checking Your Battery Percentage on the Lock Screen
Prior to iOS 16, your only way to check your battery percentage was to pull down the Control Center from the top-right corner of your screen. Checking your battery percentage on the Lock screen is a new feature in iOS 16, and it couldn’t be simpler.
To check your battery percentage on the Lock screen:
1. Wake up your iPhone by pressing the Side button or tapping the display.
2. Look in the top-right corner of your Lock screen for the battery icon.
3. If the battery icon is white, that means that your battery percentage is not being shown on the Lock screen. To turn on this setting:
a. Open the Settings app.
b. Tap ”Battery.”
c. Turn on the ”Show On Lock Screen” toggle switch.
4. If the battery icon is yellow, that means that your battery percentage is being shown on the Lock screen; specifically, it’s displayed beneath the battery icon itself.
Checking Your Battery Percentage in the Control Center
In order to check your battery percentage in the Control Center, you must first add the Battery widget. To do so:
1. Open the Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your device.
2. Tap and hold on the section labeled “Show More” at the bottom of the Control Center.
3. Select “Battery.”
4. You should now see your battery percentage in the Control Center next to the battery icon.
Checking Your Battery Percentage in the Settings App
In order to check your battery percentage in the Settings app, you will need to do the following:
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap on “Battery.”
3. Your battery percentage will be displayed under the “Battery Level” section.
You can also check your battery level by swiping down from the top of your screen to access the Control Center, and then checking the “Battery” widget.
Checking Your Battery Percentage on Older Versions of iOS
On iOS 16 and older, there are a few different ways that you can check your battery percentage. One way is to go to the Settings app and then to the Battery section. Another way is to open up the Control Center and look at the battery icon. You can also add a battery widget to your Today view. Let’s take a look at each of these methods in more detail.
Checking Your Battery Percentage on the Lock Screen
Open your device and go to the ‘Lock Screen.’ You should see your battery percentage in the upper-right-hand corner, next to the time.
Checking Your Battery Percentage in the Control Center
In order to check your battery percentage in the Control Center, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Pull down from the top right corner of your iPhone to reveal the Control Center.
2. On the top row of buttons, locate the battery icon.
3. Tap on the battery icon to reveal your current battery percentage.
You can also check your battery percentage by opening up the Settings app and navigating to Battery > Battery Percentage.
Checking Your Battery Percentage in the Settings App
Assuming you’re running iOS 16 or later, open the Settings app and tap Battery. Here, you’ll see your battery level at the top of the screen, as well as a graphical representation of how much charge it has left. If you want to see your battery percentage, just tap on the battery level indicator.
